Prince is the clearest antecedent to Robyn’s forthcoming ninth album, Sexistential. Releasing March 27th.

In addition to channeling Prince’s lithe, sensual funkiness, on Sexistential, Robyn has similar ideas on her mind. In the near-decade since making her last album Honey, she realized that love didn’t have to be tied up with sex. That sex didn’t have to be tied up with “babymaking.” And that she didn’t have to be in love to have a kid.
