Euclid Records Records

Euclid Records…Records, The Label

It was Summer 2008 when The Black Keys, a young, up-and-coming band, performed
live at Euclid Records. While the turnout was OK, Euclid owner Joe Schwab
brainstormed ways to draw more attention to in-store performances.

The lightbulb moment for a lifelong record collecting junkie was starting his own
record label to put out a series of 45rpms of the in-store performances. Thus, Euclid
Records…Records was born!

The first 3 releases were by Steve Wynn and The Miracle 3, Terry Adams’ Rock and
Roll Quartet and The Hard Lessons, out of Detroit. 10 more releases followed,
including Peter Case. The Baseball Project, Edward Burch, Future Clouds & Radar, J.C.
Brooks and The Uptown Sound, Peter Holsapple and Chris Stamey, The Sights, The
Bottle Rockets among others. The label also ventured into original studio releases
from St. Louis bands Sleepy Kitty, Troubadour Dali and Diesel Island.

Historical releases include reissues of Johnnie Johnson’s Johnnie Be Bad, The
Painkillers and the upcoming Aerovons project , set for a 2024 release.
