King Kong (NEW LP)

King Kong is a new solo album from Michael Kidd Funkadelic Hampton, Rock and Roll Hall of Fame guitarist and founding architect of the Parliament-Funkadelic sound. Produced by 9-time Grammy winner Joe The Butcher Nicolo on his Sound Mind Records imprint, the album arrives July 31, 2026, positioned as a cinematic instrumental work – a retelling of the King Kong story through spoken narration and Hampton’s genre-blurring lead guitar.
