Live At The Village Vanguard (NEW LP)

Live at the Village Vanguard is a landmark 1961 album that captures John Coltrane’s classic quartet at the peak of their raw, spiritual, and exploratory powers. The recording is essential listening for it’s intense energy, groundbreaking extended solos (especially on “”Chasin’ The Trane””), and fusion of blues, Indian, and African influences, which helped define the trajectory of avant-garde jazz.
