With the recent passing of Jeff Beck, it got me thinking about rock supergroups, specifically because of his involvement in Beck, Bogert & Appice, which led my mind to West, Bruce & Laing’s debut, Why Dontcha.

Back in high school, I had a friend that was obsessed with Cream and any of its side projects. He once showed me this absolute ripper and it’s stuck with me over the years. This power trio brings the thunder. It’s impossible not to be heavy with Leslie West shredding.

My favorite track is “Love Is Worth The Blues;” it is GD heavy. This album is also usually dirt cheap.
